Antes disso ele havia gravado Dirty Pond Songs em seu quarto e vendido o álbum nos locais por onde se apresentava. Lançado em 2011, A Winter Tale figurou na lista dos 100 melhores do ano da Amazon e vem chamando a atenção dos críticos especializados.Quem já conhece o artista de 26 anos não irá se surpreender com o tom rouco que já captura a atenção do ouvinte logo na primeira faixa, que dá nome ao álbum. A mistura de folk e blues, o som marcante da guitarra e a emoção transpassada na voz também estão presentes, como já se via e se sentia em Dirty Pond. A maior diferença aqui está na banda que acompanha Bobby pelas 11 faixas de A Winter Tale. Eu, particularmente, prefiro Bobby Long na forma acústica, mas isso é uma questão de gosto pessoal e a banda em nada atrapalha o desempenho do artista ou do álbum. Posted at 4:25 pm CST. His style has been attributed to early Bob Dylan due to his strong lyrics and sound. SCPAB Winter Concert 2012 Bobby Long will headline the University of Delaware Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB) Winter Concert on Saturday, January 28, in Bacchus Theatre of the Perkins Student Center. The SCPAB is a student organization comprised of students from all majors, who schedule events for the University.Opening for Bobby Long will be Michael Natrin, a recent UD graduate. Tickets will be available at the door at 7 p.m. Cost is $5 for UD students with a University ID and $7 for the general public. Posted at 10:30 am CST. The Bottletree Cafe Interview Part 2Let’s wander waaayyyy back in time to 2011, when we found Bobby in a vintage silver airstream trailer located at The Bottletree Cafe in Birmingham, Alabama. When we first joined Bobby there we questioned if we had hit a vortex that sent us back in time to the seventies, when bad tapestry and beautiful hippies ruled the earth. On December 6th we posted an interview that was shot at that very location, among Rubik’s Cubes and Christmas lights that barely lit the room. Today, we bring you the second portion of that interview. The first interview was all business; the second is about the man himself.
Please note that if you are in a public place, you may want headphones as the verbiage may be offensive to some. For this portion of the interview we utilized questions that were made famous by the great James Lipton on his show “Inside the Actors Studio”. You will hear the answers to those questions, as well as a few other questions, which are from the original Proust Questionnaire, the same questionnaire that Lipton adapted his questions from. These are simple questions that produce honest, often humorous, answers from your favorite musician, Bobby Long.
