There's a lot of music out there - particularly on a market as big as Los Angeles. While you can't be expected to know about every show in the area, you do deserve to know when a good artist comes to town - especially when that artist lives someplace far away. Bobby Long is a singer-songwriter who made his Glastonbury debut last year on the acoustic stage. He also toured fairly extensively in his native Britain and Europe. Now he is returning to the U.S., and the people of L.A. can take advantage of the opportunity to see him.
Long may not be as well-known as Ed Sheeran, but he writes a pretty good song. In fact, he leans a little more toward the grit of Springsteen both in his sound and his storytelling than the pop sounds of Sheeran. Long plays The Hotel Cafe on Thursday, March 3, at The Hotel Cafe. The show begins at 8. Tickets for this show are $18. Start your weekend early with a performance by this great singer-songwriter.
