The singer-songwriter was born in Wigan and grew up in Wiltshire before relocating to London when he was 17. Working his way through the open mic circuit, Bobby became a part of the UK folk music boom and then headed for the bright lights of New York in 2009. His new album, Ode To Thinking, was recorded in Austin, Texas last autumn and was released in August. And after last returning to the UK for a set at Glastonbury Festival, Bobby will be back for a performance at the Night and Day Cafe in Manchester on Wednesday, November 4.
